We are conveniently located in the heart of the “Gringo Gulch, in the Zona Cívica Nacional” district of San José.

south of Avendia 2. San José Centro, Costa Rica

Calle 11 is a major North bound street that runs behind the historic Iglesia de la Soledad. Getting a taxi at any time of day or night is almost never a problem.  If you choose to take a cab to any of the points of interest listed below the current cost is 510 – 600 Colons or about $1 - 1.28 US dollar.

Within less than a two to three minute walk from The Freebird, you’ll discover downtown San José´s: Pre-Columbian Jade Museum, the National Museum, the Gold Museum, Teatro National, Hotel del Rey and many historic beautiful parks.

Also, there are good restaurants, night clubs, casinos, sodas, dry cleaners, a large supermarket, pharmacy and bars all within the two – three minute walk of The Freebird.
